1. Scope and Nature of Service
Datavendors is a curated, editorially managed global index of data vendors. The website provides structured vendor profiles for informational purposes and facilitates contact between data buyers and vendors. Datavendors acts as an intermediary for data inquiries but does not operate a marketplace and does not mediate or conclude commercial contracts between vendors and third parties. All listings are provided on a voluntary and non-contractual basis unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
2. Eligibility
The services of Datavendors are directed exclusively at businesses (B2B). The website is not intended for consumers within the meaning of § 13 German Civil Code (BGB).
3. Vendor Listings
3.1 General
Vendor profiles may be created based on publicly available information, or based on information submitted by the vendor via the application form or email. There is no entitlement to inclusion in the index. Datavendors reserves the right to refuse, modify, suspend, or remove any listing at its sole editorial discretion.
3.2 Unverified Profiles
An “Unverified” designation indicates that the information displayed has not been confirmed by the respective vendor and may be based on publicly available sources. Datavendors may update, modify, supplement, or remove information within Unverified profiles at its sole discretion without prior notice.
3.3 Verified Profiles
A “Verified” designation indicates that the information displayed on the profile has been confirmed by an authorized representative of the vendor (e.g., via submission using an official company email address). Verification does not constitute a quality certification, endorsement, or guarantee of services. For Verified profiles, substantive changes to confirmed information require prior notification to the vendor, and modifications will only be implemented following vendor approval.
4. Lead Generation and Data Inquiries
Through the platform, users (data buyers) may submit inquiries (e.g., requesting pricing, specs, or data samples) to specific vendors. For vendors who actively submit an application, claim a Verified profile, or explicitly accept these Terms, the following applies: The vendor agrees to receive these user inquiries (leads) via email. The vendor undertakes to use the personal data provided in these leads strictly for the purpose of responding to the user's specific inquiry and in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. For Unverified profiles, Datavendors acts solely as an independent forwarder of the user's inquiry. Datavendors is not responsible for any vendor's subsequent handling of the lead data.
5. Vendor Obligations
Vendors submitting information agree that:
All submitted information is accurate and not misleading.
They hold the necessary rights to logos, images, and materials provided.
The submission does not infringe third-party rights.
They will promptly notify Datavendors of any inaccuracies.
6. Profile Images and Visual Presentation
Datavendors maintains strict design guidelines to ensure a consistent visual experience across the index. The profile layout, including background headers and overall formatting, is generated and controlled exclusively by Datavendors. Vendors are required to provide a high-quality company logo (profile image) during the application. If a vendor does not provide a suitable logo, or provides one in an unusable format, low resolution, or violating third-party rights, Datavendors reserves the right to use a neutral placeholder (e.g., company initials or a generic icon) to maintain the visual integrity of the platform.
7. Changes to Platform Features
Datavendors reserves the right to modify the structure, features, and required information fields of the platform at any time. Where new mandatory information fields are introduced, Verified vendors will be informed in advance and granted a reasonable period to provide the required information. Failure to provide required information may result in removal of the Verified designation. Unverified profiles may be updated accordingly without prior notice.
8. Removal of Listings
Datavendors may remove any listing at its sole discretion. For Verified profiles, Datavendors will provide prior notice by email before removal. Unverified profiles may be removed without prior notice. Vendors may request the removal of their profile at any time, which will occur within a reasonable timeframe. There is no entitlement to permanent availability.
9. No Warranty for Accuracy
Datavendors does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed. Users are solely responsible for verifying vendor information before entering into any business relationship.
10. Limitation of Liability
Datavendors shall be liable without limitation in cases of intent or gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable and typical damages arising from the breach of essential contractual obligations. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
11. Intellectual Property
All content published on Datavendors, including structure, design, and database elements, is protected by intellectual property laws. Reproduction or commercial use without prior written consent is prohibited.
12. Amendments to these Terms
Datavendors reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of use shall apply.
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction for merchants, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law is Fulda, Germany
